Mitzvah Mall: A Wonderful Fundraiser!

Congregation Beth Sholom once again sponsored the annual Mitzvah Mall and several of Malawi Children’s Village Board Members were present to discuss MCV and our mission.

The Mitzvah Mall allows nonprofit organizations from around Alaska to contribute at this non-denominational, bizarre bazaar. The organizations may include animal welfare groups, supporters of the arts, food and health agencies, social causes, shelters, international aid, and more. There is no admission fee for the general public at the Mitzvah Mall. Attendees are encouraged to purchase gift donations starting at just $5 for themselves or in another’s name, but this is optional. Between presentations, area musicians and entertainers may also donate their talents. Combined, it’s a delightful afternoon with neighbors in support of our greater community.

The event was a huge success with over $2000 in donations collected for Malawi Children’s Village. Thank you to all who donated. If you are interested in learning more or donating, please visit our website.
